Dual I.B.F. World Title eliminator

For the first time in Australia since the Sydney 2000 Olympics the eyes of the world will be focused on Olympic Park, Homebush, New South Wales when Grange Global Promotions in association with Bash Boxing (U.S.A.), Banner Promotions (U.S.A.), Gary Shaw Promotions (U.S.A.) and Golden Gloves (S.A.), stage a boxing event worthy of a Las Vegas billing that will be telecast and distributed worldwide.

With this fresh opportunity to showcase our ability at successfully hosting world class events, Judgment Day cuts straight to the core of the nations spirit where elite fighters never hesitate in stepping up for a crack at the best in the business whenever the chance arises.

Headlining this event is middleweight magician Daniel "The Real Deal" Geale won 23 (KO 14) + lost 1 (KO 0), a former Commonwealth Gold medalist, Olympian and I.B.O. World Champion, no stranger to the world stage and currently rated at # 5 with the International Boxing Federation.

Standing between Daniel, the number 1 spot and a mandatory shot at the champion is the Russian born middleweight and genuine tough guy, Roman "Made in Hell" Karmazin rated at #3. Karmazin… won 40 (KO 26) + lost 3 (KO 1) + drawn 2, a former I.B.F. Junior Middleweight World Champion who has stopped 5 of his last 7 opponents in devastating form will be Geale’s toughest test by far. In June this year Karmazin stepped up in an attempt to claim a 2nd world crown against current German I.B.F. World Champion, Sebastian Sylvester pushing the champ all the way to a hotly disputed split decision loss on German soil.

Daniel on the other hand, spurred on by a surprise loss early last year made clear his intention of wanting to only fight the best in the business entering in to dead end negotiations with the likes of Arthur Abraham and Kelly Pavlik. Be it fate or fortune, Daniel will now take the spotlight on this historic occasion as he seeks redemption in affirmation that he is in fact "The Real Deal".

Co headlining this mega event, with an equally tough opponent is 4 times Australian champion, Commonwealth Bronze Medalist, undefeated professional and pride of the Italo/Australian community, lion hearted lightweight Lenny Zappavigna, won 24 (KO 16) + lost 0 (KO 0), against the relentless, big punching South Korean, Ji Hoon "The Volcano" Kim, won 21 (KO 18) + lost 6 (KO 1), and currently the highest rated boxer in the I.B.F. at #3.

Kim, is a former I.B.O. Super Featherweight World champion who just recently fell short of stopping 12 opponents in a row when he lost a points decision in August this year during an attempt to capture a 2nd World Title against current I.B.F. Lightweight World champion Miguel Vasquez. Having stopped the likes of Ameth Diaz, Tyronne Davis and Zolani Marani there is no denying the 23 year old Korean has earnt his place in this contest.

That being said, Lenny Zappavigna has honed his skills over the past 3 years by consistently pursuing men with better records, and after tidying up his own back yard, travelled to the U.S.A. in March 2010, and against the odds successfully captured the I.B.O. World Lightweight crown in a hard fought 12 round decision over Ecuadorian, Fernando Angulo. Lenny’ s decision to chase recognition in the tougher pool of I.B.F boxers is proof positive of the young Australians determination and never say die resolve, as this bout is predicted to be his toughest assignment to date.

Supporting the dual main event is the much talked about, long awaited match between the self proclaimed peoples champion Junior "The One" Talipeau, won 16 (KO 5) + lost 1 (KO 0) and Shannon "The Bulli Blaster" Taylor. won 50 (KO 36) + lost 8 (KO 6) + drawn 3. This bout has been brewing for many years outside of boxing circles and both men are resolute on war to determine if in fact the brash young bull from "The Shire" has what it takes to defeat a man who has stood before the likes of hall of fame fighter "Sugar" Shane Mosley and 10 times I.B.F World middleweight champion Arthur Abraham.

With a place on the inaugural Boxing Ashes sic (Bashes) Australian team also at stake, the only advice promoters can give is "Don’t Blink"..

Crowd favorite "Deadly" Rob Medley won 29 (KO 19) + lost 3 (KO 1), is to headline the Boxing Ashes event when England take on Australia at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, January 5, 2011.

Deadly by name and deadly by nature, Medley as always, is taking this fight against the U.S.A’s …Jason "The Hammer" Le Houlier. won 21 (KO 8) + lost 3 (KO 2) + drawn 1, dead serious. The Hammer has challenged Medley on 2 previous occasions. He will believes he is 3rd time lucky which will not necessarily be the case when the deadly on goes to work.

"The K.O. Kid" Ranee Ganoy won 30 (KO 26) + lost 11 (KO 6) + drawn 2, up against Guilermo "La Pantera" Mosquera, won 41 (KO 20) + lost 9 (KO 4) + drawn 3, in a grudge rematch.

Former Captain of the Australian Boxing team "Mr Business" Jamie Pitman won 19 (KO 8) + lost 2 (KO 2) + drawn 0 versus Togsalamai Letoa, won 11 (KO 6) + lost 4 (KO 0) of New Zealand.

With announcements to be made shortly regarding opponents for, former World Water Ski champion and the new babe in boxing, Lauryn Eagle and 3 times Australian Super Middleweight champion Michael Bolling.
